I removed mine after they came loose on me. Several others have removed theirs also. If you haven't already, check out my post in General about my experience.
If you didn't put any loctite, either go back and add it or pull the stops out altogether. They're redundant since the MN6 has it's own stops. They are recommended if you do hard shifting as you would while racing.
I had my stops come loose as have others and you lose the ability to shift to the side that has a loose stop if it works it's way in like mine did. :yesnod:
The stops being referred to are the threaded studs located in the base of the unit that point to the front and rear of the car.
Hurst themselves said that they were unnecessary, and were to be eliminated from the design in future production...
I took mine out before installing them:) :cheers:
