Default Coil Over Shock Question

What are the best Coil Overs to use on my 2000? Looking for a better street ride and ability to adjust the ride height. Looking for the best value for the money. Best supplier? Thanks, Mark--Roanoke, Va.

I just went with the Featherlights as well. I am still installing them so no reviews at this time other than they look fantastic. I went with them because of customer service after the sale and the design. The BOA upper mount is a far better design IMO than any of the other coilover players I found. They are an inverted design and the dampening adjusters for the shocks are on the bottom. Very thought out design. Their older version seemed more like the other coilovers out there that you can get and are still sold today. Pfadt looks to be the only one that redesigned their coilover with new technology and addressed issues with the older designs, like the upper mount. Those reasons are what sold me on them and I'm glad I made the choice.
Good luck in your choice.

I have installed the LG GT2 adjustable coil overs. Fit perfectly and you can adjust them from "soft" to "Hard" easily. Ride height is also easily adjustable. I use my car mostly on the track so they are biased to the hard end of the scale.

I've run both CO's mentioned above and prefer the PFADT Featherlights. They have more travel so you can spring your car softer before bottoming and still get an amazingly good handling car. Add a set of PFADT 3 piece Street/Track bars and the car will handle like a gokart and still won't rattle your teeth on bumpier roads.

Sorry if this is mostly a copy/paste from a couple of recent threads, but this topic has come up a lot recently and as usual, our customers are coming to bat for us!

I want to thank each and every member in this thread that has posted up recommending our products. You guys have no idea how much we appreciate the support and being part of the Corvette Forum community. It really means a lot to see the overwhelming amount of posts in this thread that back up our claims of being the most streetable coilover on the market.

Thanks for considering our coilovers Mark. Our Feather Light Coilovers are what we think of as a "home run" product, meaning for the price and availability, the features we offer in our suspension just can not be beat. On top of being an excellent addition for track-based Corvettes, the street is really where they shine due to the lack of compromises made for street use.

This year (and 2012) has been tremendously exciting for us with the success we've seen with these coilovers. Given the extraordinary demand for the Feather Light Singles we have now taken over all manufacturing and brought it in house to our facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. This has really allowed us to build better and more consistent products, and is now allowing us to significantly increase production to meet demand.

Our coilovers are on the shelf. Please take a look at the features below for reference when making your decision.

Bottom line is you get what you pay for, period. Here are the basics that is built into every FeatherLight Single Adjustable Coilover, which you won't find all on competitive units:
  • Single Adjustment for Rebound and Compression
  • Inverted, Lightweight Construction
  • All Aluminum Body
  • BOA Mount
  • CIRC System
  • Fully Serviceable
  • 40 clicks front, 30 clicks rear damping sweep
  • Damping adjuster placed conveniently at the bottom of each shock. No drilling required!
  • Easy Ride height Adjustment at Spring Perch
  • Durability Tested for Millions of Cycles
  • Custom Spring Rates Available
  • Simple bolt on installation
  • Made here in Utah, at our facility. No asian manufacturing.

If you're not familiar with our FeatherLight Single Adjustable Coilovers be sure to check out some more information to come up to speed on the most advanced Single Adjustable Coilovers we've ever produced: Pfadt Race Engineering FeatherLight Single Adjustable Coilover Product Page.

On the surface these features are great, but dig a little deeper and you will find that we also have custom packages available for different uses. What ever your needs... whether it be street performance, drag racing, or track use we have a package that will be well suited for you within the FeatherLight Single Adjustable family of coilovers.
