I removed 3 sections each side of the rear, and moved the stock screws as much as I could in the front. The front is still a little bit taller than the rear but not much, almost hard to tell. How many do most of you guys have removed for the rear?
Anyhow, I notice traction is now more difficult off the line, but I like the looks and handling. I'm thinking about putting one of the cut section back in the rear, to balance the car a little more. Any advice? Not worried about damage as I have the rocker rails and under side wheels already. I just want slighlt better ride, more even front to back, and maybe a little more wheigh transfer will appear?
I have just lowered mine a week ago, using stock bolts without cutting the bushings, using all the available bolt's threads, the front end lower 5/8 of an inch, the rear lower 7/8 of an inch.
Have you have a 4 wheel alignment done to your car after you'd lowered it?You will need to after 1 to 2 weeks of driving, be sure the car are at the level you want and no more adjustment are needed before you go in for an alignment, your traction should get better after the alignment.
Some one on this forum has suggested, if you want to make it ride a little smoother, and handle better you might want to consider a set of Bilstein Sport Shocks.
Thanks, on some years, I think you have to cut the back. I already did the alignment, now I'm thinking it will out things out of wack to move the rear up one notch? I think your right about the shocks.
