Default Performance add on opinions.

Ok Im looking for opinions for my next performance move. I have a 98 C5 with a semi built motor. ls6 ported oil pump, ls6 fuel pump, ugraded rockers, springs, rods, MS3 Cam 247/242 603 intake lift 609 exhaust
112 lope. Long tube headers, no cats to corsa exhaust. built auto trans, 3800 stall. Probly some other stuff im missing. I drive the car on the street more than the strip.

Looking to get more power out of it Best bang for the buck really. Im thinking fast 102mm mani with 102mm TB. Upgraded fuel rails and maybe bigger injectors. Not sure on size.

Also looking into idea of a rear mount Twin turbo kit. Are they worth the $5k-$7k? Or should I just spend the $5k and buy a new supercharger for the car? Whats yals opinion on this.

Also threw up the idea of just doing the intake set up and then spraying. Id only spray on the street her eand there so id wouldnt be like im at the track eating my motor up.

Whats everyones opinion on my next step, and what would be cheaper with best daily outcome. Not really trying to dump $10k into this motor either.

Thanks

You didn't mention any cold air intake? I picked up 3 TENTHS and 2MPH with a change from blackwing to a vararam. No BS this was verified over numerous runs on different days with same DA. Cheap performance in my book!

I would also step up to a good set of AFR or ? and up the compression to what ever blend of gas is available in your area. All we can get is 91.

My bad. Knew I was forgetting something. I do have the vararam cold air. One of the first things I did. What size heads do you suggest? Any idea if a 317 ls6 head would fit and be benificial to me? Local guy keeps tryn to sell them to me says they will fit but im not sure if they will.

Well in this case size matters It all depends on what you want to do with the car in the future. I went with AFR's because I wanted the small205 for low end torque and I new I wasn't going to go FI in the future.
If you decide to go FI I wouldn't spend the money on heads. In the end you want the cam, intake, and heads to match as far as flow to make the most power where you want it. Hope this helps.

I do plan on going FI in the future. Im trying to do exactly what u said and get everything now so if and when I do its there and I dont have to spend double the money with all diffferent parts.

Do ls6 317 heads fit on a ls1? If you happen to know ...

It sounds like you need to make a good scan/log of your performance PID's. If you are running stock injectors and driving without a good tune, doing anything else would be like getting 10 cents on a dollar. Find a good tuner in your area, like Blackbear, and you will get full value on the upgrades you have already done.

Gordy
Good advice. But iv already done that. When I built it I had it professionallly tuned. If not I wouldnt be able to drive it. The cam was so big it made it extremely hard to keep running. Every time I add something a new tune is needed. This will be phase 2 of the car/motor and once new parts are on ill re tune it again. But yeah def. need a good tuner when building these cars.

I they're stamped 317, that's not a LS6. LS6 heads are all stamped 243.
