Wheel OFFSET question?
What is the offset of stock base C5 front and rear wheels and is it necessary to to maintain that on stock size replacement wheels? And, what does OFFSET mean?

I have had a few C4's. The offsets are:
84-87 base
16 x 8.5" - 32mm
84R-87 Z51
16 x 9.5" - 38mm
88-96 base
17 x 8.5" - 56mm
17 x 9.5" - 56mm
ZR1 rear
17 x 11" - 36mm
Grand Sport rear
17 x 11" - 50mm
I don't remember what the '88 16 x 8.5" offset is, but I think it is similar to the other 88-96 wheels.
