Default Knock Sensor problem - Will this work?

Hi all,

this is my first post here
I am Lina and I am from Greece. I own a 1999 C5. The mechanical mods so far are :
*Vararam intake
*Decat exhaust - cat back

The car was tuned on the dyno by experienced programmers. It gave 378hp. The car has two issues..
a. The left side of the engine, works 12:1 air/fuel ratio and the right side works at 11:1. All 8 injectors are in perfect working condition, they were measured and all render the same amount of fuel. I guess the problem exists due to the LS1 intake manifold , but I would appreciate your feedback on that matter!
b. Seems that there is a problem with the second knock sensor, and since it is not working properly, I disabled it. While browsing through internet I found MSD Knock Alert as well as Phormula KS-3 knock alert. Has anyone used them in order to prevent ping-ping-boom of the engine? Is there anything else that you have to propose for me?

Thank you so very much guys!
Lina

Why would you disable the knock sensor instead of replacing it? The engine needs that to detect the knock and adjust timing.

I had to disable it. I am not driving around the car, I have in the garage waiting for some parts to come. The problem is that if I don't disable it or make it "dumb" the car runs on safe mode.. I am replacing them in a couple of days hopefully!

The stock knock sensors work fine.

I also changed the plastic boots in the bottom of the wells the sensors sit in, mine had a little oil in the bottom so I changed them too. Also, put RTV around the plastic covers at the top of the wells to keep water out of the sensor wells.
