This is my first post here, and hope I can get some advice. Had my C5 in to replace the climate control unit, and was told that the front wheel bearings would need replacing soon. Total cost, $869.00. I did some research, and found that Timken are the bearings of choice, and found them on ebay for $360. Is it reasonable to pay $500 labor? Is the job really that big? I can replace the c5 front hubs from on the car on the ground, in about 1.5 hours. pretty easy if you have the GM ball joint separator so as to not damage the lower ball joint boot.
