Default which powerbond balancer to use

I am going to be installing a new balancer after seeing mine has a pretty good wobble. After doing some research I have decided on a stock diamater powerbond. There is the basic pb1117-n and the racing pb1117-ss. I have a bone stock 2000 m6. I am thinking all i really need is the pb1117-n. I noticed in the pics that it seems to have the holes for wieghts like the stock balancer. Would I need to install wieghts into it? I read that the powerbond is "zero balanced" and can be installed as is right out of the box. Is that true for both balancers or only the pb1117-ss. I would prefer not to have to mess around swapping wieghts if possible but I can get the basic balancer about half the cost of the race model. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Just finished installing the stock model replacement. No surprises, bolted right on out of the box, and no more wobble. As far as the up graded balancer; I do not see any reason to pay the extra money for something you are not going to need. If you are planning on power adders, then maybe the upgrade is in order.

The difference between the two is the certification. If you're not planning on needing the car tech checked by a sanctioning body that requires the certification - you don't need it.

when installing the powerbond balancer did you use the same spacing as the factory balancer for the final seat position?
