Just finished swapping out my shifter to a MGW unit. While the shifts are great as in shorter and less effort, I find getting the car in reverse is very difficult. There was no problem getting reverse before the swap. Have any of you had this problem and if so, how did you fix it? Appreciate the help and thanks.

I think your going to have to live with it like that. They design reverse a little harder to grab so you don't hit it by accident. Now you have a shorter shifter so you lost some leverage. That's why it feels harder to engage. I have a ZO6 short shifter in my 97 , if I try to ease it in reverse a lot of times it will pop out. So now I just give it a good firm shift. The rest of the gears go easy.
Did you do the shifter alignment procedure per the GM manual or Patches post on the Forum?
You've probably got that covered, but, I figured I'd mention it just in case.
I had a similar problem with mine when I went to the C6 shifter. I ended up going through the procedure three times before it was perfect.
I've never installed an MGW so I can't really offer any input there.
