Another squeek thread...
Car is a 2002 z06, and I recently lowered the car on stock bolts and also installed a set of headers and x-pipe. The car does have a set of 04 Z06 shocks if that matters.
This evening, my wife was driving the car and said that it was making a strange metallic squeeking sound when turning left, and only turning left. I took the car out and sure enough, there is a squeek coming from the front driver's side of the car that happens when turning left and also when hitting some bumps. It makes noise almost every time you turn to the left (and never turning right), and only occasionally when going over mild sharp bumps in the road.
I should also mention it was raining today.
It almost sounds like its coming from under the dash, so I'm going to check the bushing where the steering shaft goes through the firewall. I'll also check sway bar bushings and lube them up. Anything I'm missing? I have recently retightened all the clamps on the exhaust, but I can double check those as well...
