Looks like a squirrel or some other rodent chewed thru some of the wiring on top of the engine, ie..... the Iginition coil control wires and some of the injectors wires. Where is the best place to get another one ? And how do I get it off.
It goes around behind the intake and I can't tell what it is connected to.
Issue started with a mis-fire on cylinder #8 PO300 and PO358. Can't get #8 plug out either. Non of the sockets seem to fit on it properly.
Any help is appreciated.
This is an automatic.

Can you use a mirror or see the plug to determine if it has been rounded? If so, you may need to buy/get a special deep socket designed to remove a rounded plug/bolt.
I will have to consult my FSM to try and help with the wiring. Not at home now.
I did use a mirror and found part of the old factory rubber boot was still on the plug keeping the socket from going on it. Used masking tape in the socket to grab hold of it.
I was able to cut and re-solder the wiring on the harness (3 wires). Car is running good again with no codes.
Good to hear. Not sure if you used heat shrink tubing on the repairs. It can be bought at Radio Shack, etc. You cut it (pick the appropriate diameter) to length and slide it on the wiring away from the joint area. After soldering the wires together, you slide the tubing over the area and then use a heat source like a cigarette lighter to heat and shrink it around the joint. Black elecrical tape tends to unwrap over time and heat. Heat shrink tubing will be there forever.
