Default a/c temperature reading

I have a 2004 and was wondering what is the coldest temperature that u can set it to. The control panel only goes to 60 deg. But i dont beleave that this could be correct i have other vehicles that blows 40 deg temps. Other post from people talk about theres now blows cold air but for me 60 deg is not cutting it. So i was wondering if 60 degs is actually the coldest its going or is my controller at fault. Thank for any help.

Default 60 degree temp

courious then a temp guage in the vent reads 60 with temp set to 60 this seemed to be correct but if yours in the vent goes below to 40 then i guess mine is not working right?

The correct outlet air temperature when the dial is set to 60F is between 46F and 52F if the OAT is between 55F-95F (depending on temp and humidity) [Page 1-10 of the service manual]
