Xenon lights...... Good idea?

Also, can someone explain the difference between HID and xenon lamps?
Using their $ 89.00 kit will give you HID lights for the low beam, but in the original C5 Corvette headlights the light will go everywhere and not be directed where you need it. As a result, oncoming drivers will be blinded by the glare from your headlights.
If you are going to do this, please do it correctly and get projector lights. They do cost more but you will have better lighting and will not blind the oncoming drivers. I just installed the projector headlights from JW with his Hi-4 harness. The results are amazing. I have a lot of light, directed where I need it on low beam, and do not blind oncoming drivers. When I go to high beams the low beams stay on also, giving me a ton of light.
I have checked the lenses after having the high beams on. The area in front of the HID lights was cool while the area in front of the high beam halogen light was warm.
Low beams with the car about 25 feet from my garage.

High beams with the lows on also.

You really need projectors to get a good light pattern from them. There are brighter halogen bulbs you can buy that will make the stock headlights a little better.
I then smartened up and bought Radioflyers Headlights with the Bi-xenon bulbs and that is way better, no comparison at all. Wish I did this first instead of trying to save money.
Do yourself a favor and do it right the first time, not like I did, you won't regret it.

Please don't go around blinding everyone. Get some farenheight halogens if you want to upgrade your light output with the stock housings.
