Oil Pressure Sending Unit took a crap today. Reading anywhere between 92-130 PSI. Does anyone still make kits to relocate this thing since TPE stopped producing theirs? Thanks in advance.
I replaced mine with a B/W from Oreilly's and my Dad's with a new GM version on the same day. The GM version failed again within a month. Mine is going strong after 6 months.
Borg Warner from O'Riellys!! Ive used a 3 of them now on 3 different vehicles, and never had any pressure sensor issues after replacement. Torque to 15 ft/lbs only.
Hardest part on the Vette is getting the little vacuum tube back on the rear of the intake manifold. If it is off, you'll hear the vacuum hissing and get Service ABS and Service EBCM messages. Had to physically hold the right angle vacuum plug that the little tube plugs into in my hand to keep them together while I positioned the intake back into its spot. without doing that, the tube kept coming out of the right angle plug! Serious PITA.
Ordered all of the fittings from Summit and will be doing this lovely job as soon as the sun comes up good this morning. Not looking forward to it but in my opinion the relocation is the way to go. If it fails again...10 minute job from opening to closing the hood.
Only question I have is for the guys that have relocated it, what is the best thing to use to neatly hold the sensor? Did you fab a bracket or just use the tried and true high tech zip ties?

I decided to build one as well. I'm going to make sure this isn't a regular occurrence.

Done an LS6 swap on an F-Body a few years ago. Can't wait to have scraped up forearms from trying to disconnect and reconnect those lines.
When I replaced my sensor, I added a 6" extension to that small vacuum line.
Did my relocation today. No issues at all. Pulling the intake forward and feeding the brake booster line through was the only hassle in the deal. Went pretty smooth. Hope this switch can handle my new found pressure from the ported and shimmed Melling 296 (48 lbs. hot idle, 62 lbs. at hwy. speed). I'm quite sure thats what took out the stocker within 2 days of me upgrading the oil pump. But if it doesn't it can be swapped out in 10 minutes.
