Default C5 Callaway Honker question

I bought an '03 coupe that has a Honker installed on it. On the drivers side of the intake there's a hole that a tube connects into with a flange type connection. The flange connection won't stay plugged into the hole though for some reason. I've tried the Callaway site but can't figure out if there's a piece missing or what's going on. In the picture, I can get it to go into the hole right up to the flange but it just pops back out so I think it's missing something, but what? I obviously could jury rig it but would rather it be correct. The unit is the standard PN 203.50.2500 for an '03

Thanks

Is it broken? I have the honker and mine is in there with no problems. Maybe if you un hook the hose you might be able to get her in there.

I can get it in there right up to the third "ridge" from the right - but the dang thing just pops right back out.... figured something may/must be missing but didn't see anything in the Callaway installation section on their site.

Grommet does NOT come with the Honker. You reuse the factory one.
Ah - ok, I'll have to rip things apart then I guess - thanks, I figured something had to be missing.

put the rubber grommet in the housing first without the fitting then insert the hose fitting

Thanks, I'll try Rock Auto and see. I can't find a PN for it but they may know what it is from experience. If I find it, I think I'll get two!

no luck... I think I'll just do some measurements and head off to Auto Zone. I'm sure I can find one that will work.

Thanks

I'm confused because it sure looks like the rubber grommet is on the fitting to me?

Isn't the part you pictured a plastic elbow with a rubber grommet over it. Try taking the rubber grommet off the elbow and putting it into the hole and then inserting the elbow. You have to make sure the edge of the hole is completely inside the groove of the grommet or it won't hold.

I could try that but I've had it completely inserted and it popped back out. I left the elbow in it but can try it without - got nothing to lose.
