I got my 02 Z06 out of storage today, drove about 20 miles, parked it for a few hours while I cleaned it up a bit, started it up and the wipers came on by themselves. They run at low speed with the switch in off, intermittent and low positions and they run at high speed with the switch set to high. Any ideas?

I have never cleaned them. I just read about them in another thread. Didn't think this was the problem because the car has been in storage for 5+ months and I didn't get it wet since taking it out. I suppose moisture in the damp storage space could be the culprit.
I am assuming if it is the udders/wet motor it is toast and must be replaced.
My unit had plenty of water in it. drained the water, cleaned and dried the unit with compressed air and WD40. Re-installed unit and it works great. no need to replace the unit unless a component got fried.
Well I finally got a few minutes to remove the wiper motor, plugged the wiring harness to the rebuilt motor I purchased, turned the ignition key and the motor still runs all the time. I also pulled and cleaned the udders but there was virtually nothing in them.
So any more suggestions? I read on another sight that it is likely the wiper switch so I will look there next.
You know, the switch can be a little confusing...I've caught myself being pretty stupid with it before. Just a thought..especially since I don't use it much.

You can see what the switch is doing if you use a meter and check the volts.
