I have a C5 Z06 with a 416 LS3 in it. compression is 11.5:1 What kind of gains will I see switching over to E85? I run 91 octane now. I tried to research this but no one really has a set up like mine. Thanks for any info.

First of all if your fuel system is not up to part don't do it. To get good results with e-85 you need about 30-40% more of it than 91 oct (volume ). So what that means is if you have stock fuel system your going to starve your sngine and run lean and possibly damage. Must get bigger injectors and fuel pumps capable of handling e-85. You just can't change to it. Hope this helps.
I ran e-85 for a while on a n/a setup. Fuel smelled better, car ran smoother, price was much cheaper....Downfall was that the gas mileage suffered a little and I don't think it really picked up much hp. I was able to add 5 more degrees of timing, but it wasn't an increase I could even feel. And there is only 1 station in town that offers it so I decided to switch back to 93. If you have the fuel system and tuning software then it's cool to experiment with it.
I have a 255 pump (racetronix kit) and will be using 65lb injectors. Just don't want to switch for 10 hp. 15+ would be worth it.
I believe from my research e-85 really helps s/c'ed and turbo's a lot more then NA, because of the heat they make in the combustion chamber e-85 doesn't heat the chamber as much and when you add boost and timing bam some great hp gains.
There is a guy on the c6 forums that runs e-85 on his ls3 and made good power while everyone was saying it won't due much. Ill see if I can find the post but it's something to look into.
