Default Help !!! 102 Fast intake

Hello everyone ! I have a question ! I'm trying to get a 102 Fast intake and Nick Williams Throttle body but not sure if I need bigger injectors? Right now I have heads, cam ,long tube headers and ls6 intake. Is the fast intake worth the money? And any idea on HP gain with this set up ? Thanks a lot for any help..

what does your tuner say? you cant just put bigger injectors in and drive the car. the PCM has to be tuned for the flow rate. your best bet is to do the mods and then drive it normally to the tuners. Let him monitor flow rate on the injectors and decided what the best size is. You wont hurt anything keeping the rpms low on the stock ones.

If you're still running stock injectors with a H/C setup, you're probably max'd or even beyond recommended duty cylce on the injectors. Get some Ford Red Tops and have your tuner scale them when tuning. As was said, you can't just drop them in.

yes, the FAST 102 is a very nice intake to add to your mods. For an LS6 I would just use an LS2 TB.

I'll assume that you have a LS1/6 and are going to throw the FAST 102 on it. If that's the case I'm pretty sure you'll have to get new fuel rails as well. Also, The FAST 102 is known to have install issues. It's a tight fit under the cowl. There are low profile engine mounts that Hinson sells that will correct the issue, but it's more work. Have you thought about just using a LS2 tb and FAST 92? You can still use your stock fuel rail and you won't have the potential for install issues. The only thing other than the intake and tb you'll need is the conversion harness from the LS1 tb to the LS2 tb.
Just a thought and something to look into.

With a 102 your likely going to need to shim the cradle to make it fit under the cowl. Common issue with the 102. You will also need different fuel rail setup. I have also heard people having to shave the water pump, or TB to clear ? Something like that. I don't remember exactly.

Too much hassle and extra parts needed for me so I installed a Fast 92, with 90 LS2 TB. Installed it myself in my garage one evening. Gained 20rwhp, and 15 rwtq. Easy Peasy...
