It has now been over four years since I had these problems and did the Techron treatments that I described above. I continue to add one large bottle of Techron about every 6 months and I always put it in when the tanks will need about 4 more gallons to complete the fill up.
Knock on wood, the fuel quantity error problems have never come back. No engine fuel injector problems either. We also follow these same procedures in our 2013 Cad CTS V.
I read about the problem also and started adding a bottle of Techron too. My gauge seems pretty accurate.
I really tested it the other day coming home from a short trip. Had the fuel light on and check gauges light on and everything. I was trying to make it to my favorite station. Range said I would make it. Made it. Whew!

Glad you made it. When I first started driving in the 50's, my dad always told me NEVER let your gas tank fall below 1/4 because of all the gunk in the bottom of the tank. I have religiously followed his advice for 57 years. Just makes sense to me.

I agree totally! My wife was right behind me in her car and I haven't had this 03 Vert very long. I was just checking it out. Now I know how far I can go and I got to figure out the mileage of a full tank on the highway. Got 24 something at 75 mph. Not bad!
