Default Spring Start Up

At start up this spring, found battery dead...started with of booster pack...started up fine. However... when I try to move car, the motor shuts down. Starts fine, revs fine, but when I try to move the car, the motor shuts down... I'm assuming that the dead battery caused the security system to activate...no lights on dash.

Tried the "remove key..wait 10 sec."....tried " leaving key turned on for 20 min."........ problem still there.

No current codes showing ... older code "P1518-Intake Manifold Control Stuck Open" shows up.

Other than tow job to dealer, any suggestions.

Tks.

Tks for quick reply 8VETTE7

You may be 100% right but...2 years ago the SCL update was done by the dealer...... not sure just what they did but kit they used came from GM.

Also, haven't replaced battery...charged up and seems to be holding charge OK.

Is it possible that this SCL issue has come back to haunt me ????

The info center has on occasion showed the "steering colume Loc" message but push reset and life goes on.

Your thoughts...

Gives you an excuse to get a Mail Order Tune as well. Besides the performance gain, they can change that 2mph shutoff to a value like 250mph. In case you were out 'n about and it were to happen again, you could then drive it home. This assuming you install a CLB (bypass) so the wheel won't lock up.
