Default Tick mc ses

Greetings,
I have an 00 c5 and recently replaced the stock MC with the new tick unit. After some spirited driving today it threw a P0704 clutch switch circuit malfunction.

From searches, it looks like this is due to the switch off the clutch pedal assembly and some quick speed changes without sensing a shift.

Problem is the Tick unit has a much shorter throw and does not depress the button at all. Has anyone come across a solution other than clearing the code when this pops up?

You can adjust the master cylinder to where it will hit the big black sensor when you push in the clutch and you can climb under your dash and adjust the cruise control switch to hit the clutch pedal when the clutch is released.

Okay thanks.I peeked under the dash briefly and didn't see much on how to adjust. to properly do it I guess I'll have to pull the seat and dash trim. guessing it may screw out from the back?

don't think the mc adjust is the way to go as it starts to feel a little odd if I increase the length of the pedal Any closer than it is.

I've never pulled anything to adjust it, i just lay upside down on the seat and grab a wrench to adjust. The cruise control switch is a booger to get to but it's doable. Just take your time and keep playing with it until you get it where you like it. It took me over a month to get mine where I finally like it. I don't have any slack in the top of my pedal at all anymore and it's a tad bit lower than my brake pedal.

well... since it took me fifteen minutes to contort to the floorboards and 15 seconds to fix, i figured hey why not post up some pics. If your getting the SES light I previously mentioned or cruise control is not working due to the switch not contacting the clutch, see below.

First pic is the location of my switch after my tick MC install. You will basically remove the black clip (already removed, see pic 2 for design) which luckily can be pulled with just a finger. Then turn the unit clockwise until the stopper is depressed

This pic is approximate after extending the switch and reinstalling the clip. Maybe if you can see this in advance you may not have to lay on the floorboard.

reach behind the dash trim where the switch is located, twist until you can feel that clip. Then give a slight pull down and out to release. from the sitting position twist clockwise until the plunger is depressed on the clutch pedal. Reclip and go joyride.
