Default poor mpg!

Hey there!

For 2(drived about 1k miles) months now i see very bad fuel economy.
Around 17 liters per 100km equal to 13,8 mpg! While i did some little biger road trips and smaller.. all the same. I dont drive aggresive.. to mutch.

I have this car 2 full years, never had so low mpg.

Maybe the oxy sensors? air filter is ok, maf sensor is clean, engine is running well, no reduce in power, whole car is STOCK

I dont care if i pay the extra cents for fuel but something is wrong and thats why i worry

1998 ls1 coupe six speed.

thank you

have fun!

Check tire psi, Make sure e-brake isn't dragging(fully released). Have 02's checked. I think if 02 where bad a check light would be on. Good luck that's all i have for you.

Did you fill the car with "gas" just before this happened? Maybe instead of gasoline, you got a tankful of gas mixed with a lot of water....

hehe, i personaly didn't tank any water..

my hand brake is always down, in fact it grabs pretty bad when i do engage it while parked.

I dont know where where else i should look.. the only thing it might be is O2 sensors.. and even then, is it possible so mutch more fuel to be burned?

Things generally don't happen "all of a sudden", WITHOUT a reason. Check for codes first, as was suggested. I mentioned recent filling of the tank, because if you got a batch of "bad gas", one of the signs is that your mileage drops....
