What is it? Caused Dead battery!

What is it? Caused Dead battery!

inside the passenger side headlight well, on the back wall (closest to the wheel) is an electronic component with wires coming out. The battery went dead over night, swapped out batteries and found the original dead. Put new battery in and as I connected the positive post I could hear something buzzing ... its this electronic component.

Anyone know what this component is???

I think this is the headlamp control module .....

looking at the schematic if I pull fuses #3 and #4 that should fix it for now. I don't have the pop up head lights any more so I shouldn't need the HCM. Correct???

That is correct...I am doing this now as I am installing no pop ups in my C5 FRC.
