Temp display not working?
So I am trying to make a deal on a 98 coupe....sounds nice the owner did say the heat and air does work, but not the display to show what the temp is at also the traction control doesn't work? I did see after I searched a dim display fix. Is this the same thing as this car the display doesn't work at all?

Dim display is the same thing. When I got my C5 the HVAC unit was black but the AC and heat worked fine, just could not see the setting.
Traction control: Does it not work or are you saying you can't the dash indicate on or off? Pull the codes from the DIC and post what you see. Do this after you drive and before you shut off the engine/car. Let us know if you don't know how to do this.

This is the real dealbreaker here. The module that makes traction control/ABS on a 97-00 cannot be fixed once it breaks. Plus they do not make replacement parts. Search around here for the codes to look for and go pull the codes on the DIC. If you get codes for the EBCM going bad leave this one alone. The only other thing is, the car is equipped with traction control right? I think pre 01 cars it was an option. They all had ABS but it was a coded option prior to 01.
