Very interesting. I'll be doing a similar engine build on my 2000 but hoping to start with a 383 short block and no N20.

I'm thinking of going with a high pressure pump instead of high volume. From my understanding high volume pumps are for larger pans. Are you going with a different pan?

No going with stock pan. I was advised either go with the high volume pump from Melling or a ported stock, but not the high pressure. There have been varied opinions but I went the shop recommendation.

I installed all my mods myself, due to a lot of reasons, one or two things at a time, and over 10 years. When you list all the items like you just did, the estimated total cost of those mods look like a lot of money to spend on a 2000 Cpe. I gotta ask; how much?

The parts were collected over time. My job keeps me on the road both in and out of the country for weeks at a time so doing it myself was out of the question. I am older than most so I am not looking for a resell as this is most likely my last Corvette and when I do retire I wanted to enjoy the ride not start the process of building it. So to answer your question, it was worth it to me. As far as total cost, I actually would have to go back and add up all the pieces and then add the labor costs which have not been totalled yet. So a fair estimate would be, including the paint job to come, probably in the $15k range. I have been blessed with a very good job and the ability to do these things without having my family suffer for want of anything else, so again it was within my ability to do so. Besides, my child will inherit it with everything else and have a remembrance that I doubt you really can put a price on. But I understand everyones circumstances and reasoning will be different.

Really nice to be able to do so much at the same time while the whole engine/drivetrain is out.

It should be a lot of fun when you get done!

Well, that's not too bad. I'm sure that you will really enjoy the car, and it's a one of a kind custom, too. I hope you drive yours more than I drive mine. Just turned 19k miles last weekend after over 10 years of ownership.

Yeah, my car has looked like that for months at a time. Except, it was on jackstands, in my tiny garage. 3, or 4 different projects/repairs over the years and my procrastination are the reasons it's not driven so much.

Default Interior pieces in, now waiting for engine work completion before install

All work from dennis at DD Mods

Corbeau A4's covered in leather to match interior

Dash

Console

Door Panels (speaker grilles will be painted to match cork leather)

Radio Bezel Double Din, 3 guages across top

Rear speaker covers

The rear halo and front header, and the traction control switch cover, cup holder cover, fog light switch, and steering column surround as well new shift and ebrake boots and handle all covered in black leather as well.

Default Progress update: QTP Electric Cutouts installed

Used the thread by patches as a guide for placement. Bought an extra pair of the QTP turndown pipes and used them to build the mounting plates to the exhaust pipes. They are XS-Power headers and then into Ti Z06 exhaust. The band clamps on the pipes will be replaced as well.

Looks like you're getting lots of goodies; should be a fun ride when you're done.

Isn't this the same shop that pewter99 uses from time to time there in the St Pete area?
