Default Yank 3200SS or 3600SS??

2002 coupe, stock LS1. I'll be swapping in a 3.42 diff from 2.73 soon and a Stall Converter. Car has CAI and Cat Back. Only other mods will be LT's and X-pipe soon and FI in the distant future. Want to keep good driveability since the car is driven regularly but not quite a DD. Needing a serious boost in performance from the 2.73's and stock stall. I have decided on Yank, just can't nail down the stall. Experiences? Advice? Any real world experience would help.

If leaving the engine stock, 3200. If going to mod it, 3600.
I like my Yank SS3600, but it is a bit slippery. Although, I don't mind that at all.

IMO the 3200 would be better for a FI car but if you decide to stay H/C I think you would like the 3600. I had the 3200 and 342's and the stahl just wasn't loose enough for a N/A car in my opinion. We ended up changing it to 373's with a 4K stahl. I drive mine almost everyday...

Just installed a 3600 Yank, had a 2800 Vig in my heads/cam set up, not much slipprier, picked up about a tenth in my 60' though....you'll probably be happier with a 3600 vs 3200 unless you go FI....

We have a bolt-on '04 coupe and went with a 3.90 and Yank SS4000. Although it isn't a DD I wouldn't hesitate to ... it's just your personal preference. Yes, it's loose but something that you could easily get used to.

Don't forget a transmission cooler as well.

No need for a 3600 stall -

A 3200 stall will do all you need and especially with the 3.42's!

I know I got the same set-up and at 734 RWHP it is perfect!

Thanks,Matt
