Does anyone know if it is possible to connect a laptop computer into the cars computer system and monitor/log the various systems realtime or to even make temporary mods to the vehicles performance?
I would assume that an interface cable/device would be necessary and some sort or terminal program running on the computer. If companies like Top Down Tech. can play with the signals to operate the windows etc. I would think this has to be possible.
HI there,
The new Tech3 that will be coming out, will be a Tablet sized laptop.
Arrival is still unknown, however, this will also be made by Hewlett Packard, as is our Tech2 factory scan tool.

Autotap does exactly what you want to do, and with a very nice user interface and logging options. It is a must for monitoring exactly what is going on with your car, and lets you determine the changes you should make with a programmer such as LS1-Edit.
Drop me an email if you want a great price on Autotap and we always have them in stock and ready to ship.
