Default Yet the same headlight issue !

My 2000 vert headlight is giving me headaches. I know there is a fix for this on the forum, but age and lack of patience keeps me from finding it. I have replaced the drive gear in the drivers side motor with a brass unit. That fix lasted a year. Now the headight unit is in opposite synch with the pass side when I turn the lights on . How the Heck do I fix this !! thank you Ben

When did this start to happen? Did you do anything to the headlight. I would fist check to see if the white bumper are still in place. If they are badly worn, just take them off, turn them upside down and reinstall. Then hand lower the headlight and then turn them on. If this doesn't fix the problem, you probably have managed to get the rotation arm (don't know the proper word for the hinge) to rotate past the stop. This happen to me several years ago. Try this - with the headlights off and the "pop eye" up, hand rotate the light to the down position. When it's down all the way continue to twist the hand crank. With a little pressure you MIGHT hear a pop. If this happens the arm is now in the correct rotation. Continue to turn the crank in the same direct until it stops. If this is the case, they will now be in sync.

Thank you. I sort of been through this when i replaced the plastic gear. Yes the stops are worn and I am ordering new ones. I will flip them as you suggested and will try the procedure tomorrow. Thanks again ! Ben
