Steering Column Msg and Remove Ket wait 10 seconds
Hi all. Gosh Chevy is killing us all on this nonsense steering lock problem. I been through it like most of you. After replacement of part after part and being stranded several times it boiled down to a bad key pellet on mine. I still don't trust the car and that is a shame. My key worked when they plugged it into the ohm key reader at the Chevy dealer but when you turned it on the reader got an error message. Just another way the car can leave you stranded. My C5 just turned 34,000 miles so it's not like it is worn out completely. Chevy should fix this issue in my opinion so us owners did not need to by bypass boxes. I too had the recall done but have not bought the bypass yet. Not sure I need to. I'm looking for an answer to that question for the long run.
