Well it's been about three weeks now that my car is broken a I am about to start fixing it. I have an issue with my clutch. When the car is off I can get it into first and reverse, when the car is on I can not. I've already done the ranger method and changed the clutch fluids. The problem is still here so I'm sending the car to get a new clutch/flywheel/pressure plate/slave Cylnder. I have intentions of doing full bolt-ons and possible spray. I'm going to assume the car with that will still not make more than 550whp maybe 600whp. So while I'm doing the clutch now I would like to get something a little over that just to be safe. I've done a little research and decided I definay do NOT want a twin disc clutch. So I was going to purchase a spec stage 2+ single disc clutch with pressure plate and flywheel as well as a new slave Cylnder (just to be safe). The regular stage two should be em ought but for the extra couple dollars the car will be set up to handle a little more power this was. Anything else I should order or think of while I'm having this job done?? Please let me know anything you may know... Or any other clutch combos you guys are running!
I am heading down your saem road with a clutch and planned similar power. All my research says this:
1. Everyone has there own opinion about clutches
2. Few, if any, have anything bad to say about the McLeod RST or RXT
3. The Mantic Clutches seem to get good reviews
In the end, I made the McLeod choice. It cost more, but seems to be worth it with the power it can hold and the lighter than stock pedal feel.
http://www.tickperformance.com/tick-...-corvette-z06/ For the money, I don't think this package can be beat, it comes with everything you need and is a direct swap, no spacer, etc. I'm running this setup as well as many others on this forum and most if not all have had awesome luck with it. I've had it for 10,000 miles and its been an awesome clutch for daily driving. I'm full bolt on and putting out a measly 353rwhp and 363rwtq in my 99 FRC but I know a few people who rock this clutch with heads/cam without any issues. I have a couple of friends I've talked into this clutch too and they love it.

I've had those in mind but I'm trying to stay away from a twin disc set up.... Preferably just a single disc to keep the stock feel n reduce chattering in the future at low RPMs

AWESOME! Pricey kit but seems to have great reviews.
The stage 2 Monster is doing really well with the 450rwhp mine is putting down. I just need to switch to the Tick master cylinder to complete the package. Still no slipping on the dyno when it was ran hard.
