Got in my Harley truck to go to office this morning and noticed oil on the hood! Looked up and saw oil on the lower front A-frame on right side of Vette.
I backed the Harley truck out and went back and looked at the Vette, sure enough the right front HAL shock has oil running down the side of it.
Does anybody know if these shocks are rebuildable?? I haven't had time yet to pull the shock off for closer inspection.
Right now just trying to find out what my options would be, replacement or repair.
Anybody have any experience with these shocks?? Any info would be helpful.
Thanks
Re: HAL Shock leaking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (MRWHOOPPEE)
I'm pretty sure they are rebuildable
They are indeed rebuildable, although I've never been able to get anybody to tell me the expected life or cost of a rebuild. Admittedly, I wasn't sufficiently motivated to get on the phone with QA1. :bb
