Re: Still no powerloader, time for a change? (DUKE)
I have not had any personal experience with this vendor but for the past several years all I've read is how good his product is and how bad his service is. If all of you have paid money for retuning and the vendor accepts the money, cashes your checks or puts your charge through and then doesn't perform , you can all join to sue him as a class, report him to the consumer affairs division of the Attorney Generals office of the
State in which he does business or solicits business. If he is as bad as you all say, why is he still in business? Are we all crazy? Why would anyone in their right mind send him any money or anything of value no matter how nice he appears. If he was really nice he would treat his customers with the respect they deserve and not keep making promises that may or may not ever happen. This is just my opinion. As I said I don't know the fella but one thing for sure I respect the opinion of all of you on this forum and I don't need to get burnt in order to find out how hot the fire is.
Re: Still no powerloader, time for a change? (C5Rated)
Interesting - by now there are usually vender posts saying what a great but overworked guy Steve is, how great his programming is, how great the product is, how it's not Steve's fault, etc. etc. etc. It looks like Steve's broken promises and poor business practices have finally worn down his (embarrassed?) supporters....

You're right! his "supporters" don't seem to be defending him the way they used to, but... In spite of my earlier post... (and after trying several other similar products). I got my Powerloader about a year ago (after a reasonable 5-6 week wait)... It's the upgrade I now need that I'm afraid of...
Re: Still no powerloader, time for a change? (SilverStar)
sandyg makes a valid point. If you order a new unit you get it in a month, but a reprogram never gets done even though it is said by the vendor he will do it. Would I have a reasonable small claims action against SC to get my original $450.00 back as I will need to go with another vendors programming. I feel 4 months is crazy. I'm not just talking out my a**, I want to know if this might work. :mad
Re: Still no powerloader, time for a change? (Buckmaster)
After months of waiting on a re program because of heads/cam, I got LS1edit and asked Cole to please send the powerloader that I bought from him with my money <---get the point? Well, thats been a year now. I will give odds to anyone that wants to bet that I'll never see the PL that belongs to me. Isn't that stealin? I am not buyin the he's a nice guy deal. Nice guys treat people with respect enough to give back what they paid for.
BTW, with LS1edit a gear ratio change....takes at the most 20 min.
Re: Still no powerloader, time for a change? (Scott97)
He seems to be getting the NEw ones out in 3-6 weeks, just NOT the reprograms???!?!??!?!????????
I just don't get it. I like the LS1 Edit, but I don't know what the hell I am doing? SpeedWorks in Lewisville does Dyno Tuning on LS1 Edit, but i need to find out if it is a one time deal or if you own th esoftware etc.
I may have to eat $500 and go with a reliable Ed Wright for a reprogram???
