Turn Key On, Throttle Blade Snaps Closed
Attempting to help a buddy here.
Just installed a cam in a 2005 CTSV so the car's battery has been disconnected for a couple weeks. When the ignition key is turned to the on position the throttle blade snaps shut and is held shut. The tune is asking for 10% tp at idle. Tried swapping TPS and the same thing happens. Any ideas?
Thanks

These are the codes present
To get the car to run, we are
turn ignition on (throttle blade snaps shut)
disconnect the throttle control motor (motor "relaxes")
start car (it starts and idles)

Lets start with the P0641. It appears the 5V reference wire has an issue. Look for a bare or damaged 5V sensor wire shorting to the engine. Try the grey wire feeding the MAP sensor.

Reloaded the tune and car started normally, so throttle issue appears to be remedied.
When car started it showed very low oil pressure, so we replaced the oil pressure sensor. He somehow managed to break the coolant temp sensor, so now the car shows coolant temp sensor code (P0118) and MAP performance code (P0106) (Apparently common on cammed cars. Found it disabled in my tune.).
We need to replace the coolant sensor then we will see where we stand.

That is the HPTuners Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) screen. Even if you can't tune, it is a great tool. Every 'vette owner should own it or EFILive, in my opinion.
