Default Clunking Suspension on Driveways

My car, the pig that it is, is running pretty well, but I am scared shipless to run it hard since I took it all apart.

The suspension is making an extremely loud clunk, mostly when going in or out of a driveway that angled about 10 degrees or more. It has been making it ever since I bought it, even before I took it apart. When apart, I gave all the a-arms a feel, and the ball joints, and everything seemed pretty tight, steering outer tie rods were ok as well. Anyone have anything like this? It sounds like a knuckle cracking or something. No one in Australia even wants to look at this suspension.

I have not taken the rear tires off or looked back there, it sounds like it's coming from the front, but who knows. How do you all check the ball joints/wheel bearings? Wiggle tire side to side and that is wheel bearing? Lift tire off ground, throw two arms of the "cruceta" under the tire, lift up, and if there's play, ball joint?

Thanks for looking and any assistance you can provide.

Another vote for swaybar end links. They will make a hell of a racket if they are loose or damaged. It will sound like your whole suspension is coming apart.

That might just be what is up with mine. Whenever I go into this one driveway it is a right hand turn up a hill and I always get a pop somewhere in the car. At first I thought it was the top but I did replace the oem sway bars with c6z51 bars and metal end links so I wonder if one of those has loosened?

When I had this, it was a rear lower control arm bolt backing out. Caused a lot of harsh sounding noise. Just get under there and make sure everything is tight. You can take a crescent wrench to just about anything under there.

I am starting to think a lot of the noise is coming from the seats being all loose. Going to order the zip corvette seat repair kit. I got the car aligned today and a couple new tires on the front. Toe was ridiculously out on the front. Rear was good. They did not find anything wrong or loose front or rear. There is still quite a bit of play in the steering wheel. The press fitting that goes to the rack just below the u-joint is quite loose. The car steers fine, the bolt is torqued to spec, but there is a lot of play there. Anybody have this? Has this been an issue? I only have one bolt there, not two. Any advice always appreciated.
