Picked this intake up awhile ago and will finally post a pic of it. Should be a butt kicker. Mating this with a set of SpeedDemon Stage IV heads and other goodies..got rid of the Holley alum.
gotta polish it up though :D
Here is a test fit pic on another engine... just for kicks...
Oh, come on! Stop with the teasing and give just alittle more info please. Like, where did you score that big meat-grinder?!!  :smash: :smash:
is it a one-off, or, does someone possess the templates? can more be made/ordered? the runners are short, though. that will kill low end, you think? i guess it depends on the cube's its feeding. stroker motor? centri s/c going on? perfect intake for forced induction such as TT or centri s/c. not so good for stock cube/stock cammer's. it is damn beautiful for sure!!
That looks awesome! Now why couldn't GM have designed something that looks that good? Instead we get what looks like a dozen black donuts sitting on top of our engine.
Right now I still have to put the thing on and test it out. I am testing it for somebody. If the tests all go well then I will post it. It was tested on a stock cube engine and it gained approx. 35 rwhp with just an intake swap, but it moved the band up about a 1000, so you need more cubes really for this intake or plan on a bigger cam with more duration.
The engine that it is going on top of is a 408 (6.0 block bored .030 over and a 4.00" crank) The heads are SpeedDemon Stage IV with a Jessel adjustable system for a solid roller. There is another piece that you guys will flip over once I get it. :D :D One guy here on the forum I believe is getting it very soon and I am number 3 on the builder's list for this particular piece.
The engine will be a rever, hence the shorter runner, but this intake will surely allow it to breathe. I am still looking at Jim Hall's TT setup. That thing looks amazing.
I have seen one of these with a direct port nitrous system on it. I believe it cost the guy $2500 though. I am not sure but will find out. Looked real nice just like this one.
YOU DA MAN JIMBO! Hope that bad boy 408 comes together for you just the way you want it to!:D Hopefully we will hook up this thursday in the early evening as we recently discussed. Thanks for your help my friend!
