Default water temps fluctuation

Water temps are acting strange, and im looking at the sensor as the possible problem. Same ambient of 98, temps run around 203. In traffic temps sometimes run up to 230- 240, but then only run up to 211 a couple of hours later in the same circumstances and amount of time in traffic.

Why would i have this big of difference in water temps when the conditions are the same? Nothing clogging air passage like bags or anything. is there anyplace else anyone can tell me to focus on?

The DIC is the same as the gauge.

Fans are electrical not mechanical, and have a shelf life. the fans are designed to cycle on and off under specific driving conditions.. The fluctuation is very normal because of the cycling... if you take note, you will see the " red " line on the coolant gage is well North of 240 F.
Don't sweat the small stuff.

Your post doesn't offer anything other than you feel 240 coolant temp is oky doky.

OP, the first time when the temp approached 240 was the AC OFF vs the second time when the temp was 211 the AC might have been running???

Factory turn on temp for the fans with the AC running is 185 vs the factory turn on temp without the AC running is 226.
A/C on both days. i could see the temp running the same everyday when circumstances are the same, temp, idle time, etc. but to have a difference of this much makes me curious. i have the cool it installed so that keeps it under control, but again, the difference.
