Just picked up a bone-stock 01'vert with 28k mi. The car is beautiful and tighter than my 07'Z but I can't figure out what's causing a vibration at 70+mph. My GM tech friend went thru the car at the dealership I bought it from and found nothing. Car is in proper alignment, wheels are round, tires are balanced with no flat spots. What could I be missing?
No, the car has what looks like brand new Kumho Ecsta non-RF tires.
But the little clip washers are still on the lug nut studs of the rotors. I'll pull those and see if it helps.

Good Catch!!
There's a strong possibility that these "tinnerman nuts", as they're called, are preventing the wheels from sitting flush against the rotors.
It's amazing how much I've forgotten since parting with my 99' coupe six years ago. Looks like there is no passive entry on my 01's like there was on my 99'. Is this correct. Is there a cabin filter? My turn signals didn't work with the hazard flasher for about a half hour. This is a common problem? Thanx!
But if you notice the backside of the rims, they have a recess, apparently for those nuts. I did pull them off and swear that it helped a little.
OK, for some reason I assumed that you had aftermarket rims, which may not have those recesses. Maybe you could lift the car and rotate the tires and see if they run "true". I suppose there's always a possibility of a shifted belt, which would appear as a little "wobble" in the tread, as the tire turns.
