Quick ? before I order Magnaflow X-pipe
Well, I just got back from the dealership and they cannot figure out what is making the annoying rattle that is coming from the H-pipe area. It almost sounds like something is loose and rattling inside the H-pipe but they already checked for that. At idle, there is no rattle. However, when I start moving I hear the rattle. I was thinking I would try the Magnaflow X-pipe to see if it will cure the problem since I have heard that the cause may be from turbulence in the H-pipe. Is this a smart move? Thanks in advance.

I'd be willing to bet that you will still have the rattle after the x-pipe install.....just a guess. I'm a believer in Murphy's low though.

what kind of rattle is it? Does it occure at all speeds? Is your car a 6-speed, if so does the rattle only occure at very low RPM when starting from a stop (that is a normal noise that comes from the torque tube not the exhaust)?

It's a bad vibration coming from the area where the H-pipe is. I only hear the sound when I start accelerating from a stop. It is real bad at low rpm and then after about 40 or so, it goes away. However, sometimes I hear it when I am cruising at about 50mph. My car is an automatic.
