I have a 2002 and last night when I turned the lights on the passenger side did not pop up. I turned the lights off then on again and it came up. When I got home and turned them off again the passenger side made a "clicking" noise after it closed. I have raised and lowered them 3 times and, while it comes up like its supposed to, the "clicking" noise is present each time it closes. It sounds like a plastic gear might be slipping??
Thanks for all of the help and suggestions. Is there a site that "how to" to install the brass gear? Or are there detailed instructions that come with it?
Thanks again,
Larry
I got the kit, installed two years ago. No problems. I took the whole light frame/assembly out, disassembled on work bench/table, split the motor case as directed (work perfect) put new gear in, grease. Did the epoxy on case and let sit over night. Next day, installed, done. Take your time, 2 hrs each day. I would recommend picking up a few long cable ties, just to keep the mechanical's still and in place along the way.

Just curious, what mechanicals are you keeping still and in place? I did one of my gears and had no problems.
I must admit I have forgotten exactly. I remember some linkage arms or something that can get undone. I just tied them up with cable tie. I had buddy came over to help me. He had done this on his car a week or two earlier. He said watch out for this, it came apart on me, so we tied it. Maybe we got of course with directions while doing the job, and this created the need. In any case, this was an easy repair. I would recommend the kit and DIY
