Default Ignition barrel

I have just fitted a second hand ignition barrel and switch to my c5. I connected new switch and barrel up before I removed old switch to test it and started up fine. When I had removed old switch and installed new switch there nothing. Do I need to sync the new switch with the cut out or have I missed something else?

Default

if its a new key your BCM may need to be programmed for the new key's resistance.

but it would have failed to start when you test connected it also, unless you left the pass key resistor wiring connected to the original switch (its the small 3 pin connector with only 2 pins used, two small white wires)

did you remember to reconnect the battery after the installation?
