Default Best cam for Trick Flow Heads

I know I've been posting a good bit here, but trying to get my car assembled right this time...

I am going to go ahead and swap my camshaft to get some more power while I have these heads ripped off. I am new to these LS motors - so I honestly do not know the right way to build these yet.

I have a good set of Trick Flow heads:
220 runners
205.5 intake valves
1.570 exhaust valves
Maximum 6" lift. - Having guides cut down now so my rockers will work with this setup - as I am currently bottoming valve stem seals on the valve guides.

Comp 1.72 roller rockers
Trickflow 7.40 .080 pushrods
Flat Top pistons. N/A

At about 10.7:1 compression now - probably going to bump to 11:1

3000 Stall T/C

Question is what cam specs should I be going for to get the best power and driveability? I currently have a 600 lift 226 229 @ .050 (w/ 112 ls i believe)

Any opinions or results with your specs would be highly appreciated. Trying to get my parts list together to head to Summit in the next couple of days. My heads should be done early next week (waiting on the positive seal valve stem seals that these heads use)

Thanks!
-Mike

Ok... Guess I will retract the question. I have some research to do on my end... Time to quit guessing, measure everything, and build this all right - to compliment each other. I will post how it all goes.

Any thoughts or recommendations are still welcome.

good heads, will produce some power and can take a lot of cam....I recently up-graded mine to an Arun custom grind, from Dasilva Motorsports....the numbers are bigger than you mention, but lobe design etc is important as well.. Arun's one of the more knowledgeable well known and respected builders/tuners on the forum, get him to recommend and spec one for you and have it shipped to your door.... not a lot wrong with the off the shelf cams available, but like you said, you want to do it right this time....

Check my video on the Canadian section, "DaSilva prep defangs another" it'll show you how one of Arun's cams works....my setup is 3600 Yank, 243 heads, long tubes, and a 3.42 gear....that was last Friday eve, 2000 DA, was setting up for the next day's event.....went a tenth faster half hour later to beat his buddy too...

Now how does that help with no ET posted as if it's a big secret. Your car I bet runs about what mine does.

BTW Mike, the cam you have isn't that bad. Depends a little on the lobe design as we have discussed. FWIW Arun kind of likes smaller cams along with good heads. Sneaky power.
