Default Guage cluster gurus needed

I purchased a 300mph gauge cluster, non HUD.

I've read where guys have just swapped out tach/ speedo from non HUD to HUD equipped clusters, to keep mileage current and other reasons.

I have a Z06 cluster currently in the car HUD equipped. I'm wondering if its possible to put just the speedo into my current cluster?

Or is it possible to use my HUD harness and what else would be needed to make the 300 mph cluster compatible with my HUD.

Would be sweet to keep oil pressure/ water temp US, and have the 300mph speedo.

Thanks
Joe

In the morning I'm going to take this cluster apart, see what alls in there and see if swapping just the speedo to my cluster will work.

I'll post pics as it comes apart, hopefully get the cluster outta the car as well so I can see what looks swappable, I'd imagine if anything I should be able to swap in all the pertinent hardware for the HUD into the 300mph cluster.

Joe

Question, would anyone know if the printed circuit board in the cluster would be the same between the clusters. The serial data from the PCM I would think is the same to the cluster. Just trying to figure out if everything in the cluster would be the same and where the data is actually converted, thanks

Took the cluster completely apart to have a gander of it, appears that all the data is converted on the PCB. Sent out on a ribbon to each gauge.

Lookin at the oil pressure and temp gauges, I could put the US oil pressure gauge into this export cluster as top dead center would only be 3 lbs off. The temp gauge would be 26 degrees off at top dead center. Knowin that you wouldn't have a e problem, but you would read 226 when it was only 200F.

Also there is no HUD connector on the PCB, so there's no usin this export PCB with my HUD.

So sittin here pondering the problem, the PCB will send a analog value to the gauge, which moves the needle a certain distance on the gauge, which will not correspond to the correct reading on the gauge.

To use the 300mph speedo I could put the 2 Us gauges in this cluster, but would have no HUD. I don't think I really want to do that.

Anyway was interesting takin it apart and seein how it is designed
