2000 convt with Z06 wheels, want to lower without butchering the ride of theI need to go the coilover route? Never drag but I do like the curvery roads. How about some imput.
I had lowered my vette using the factory bolts and my ride was stiffer and I really felt the bumps in the road . I also have hotckiss sway bars so it was tight and nice .I really got the ride I was looking for going with coilovers though . I am about 1 inch off the tires from the fender wells so it looks sweet maybe a little lower . And now the ride is way smoother than it was using the factory shocks and springs . There really is no comparison , the car sticks to the road and there is no driver fatigue from all the bumps around here . Good luck in your decision .
I bought some WWC coilovers from a member on here . I believe they are 500 and 550 . They work great and I am really impressed . Car is at least an inch lower than it was and rides so much smoother :D
I'm running coilovers and I am slammed. You can hardley put a finger between the tire and the fender. I've lost very little ride comfort and don't bottom out nor rub. When I was lowered on the stock bolts the ride was rough. I also have my coilovers equaly balanced to 25% weight distributionin each corner. I wouldn't recommend going to coilovers Just so you can lower your Vette with comfort. I'll post pics tomarrow.
