Is it one sid or both? I had similar noise, and ended up changing my rear wheel hub bearings, noise went away.

The rear hub bearings would be my guess too.

How many miles on the car?

My '01 coupe started making a "roaring" sound a while back. The experts here immediately said, "wheel bearings", but I find it hard to believe that hub bearings would get loud (in my case) after only 20,000 miles. I'm thinking more like tires....

Default Hubs

Had the same thing in my SRX.....rear wheel hub. Car was under warranty. I's expensive. Get a manual and do them yourself.

The replacement procedure is not difficult, I did mine myself. If you have a reputable shop, would be the way to go if you don't have the tools or a place to pull the rear hubs off?
If it is the bearings, I would suggest a non eBay cheapie set.

If I read this correctly, you're suggesting the CHEAP parts????

I was thinkin bearings or possibly these 14" wide tires but they look good. soon as I get this fixed its time to get it a little quicker I love this vette but kinda miss my 65 elcamino 11 sec street car that I trader for it but vette 26 mpg elcamino 11 mpg with no air lol thnx guys for the input

I just replaced my tires that were worn thinking that was the noise you have described. The noise is still there, and now seems louder (because of less noise with the new tires). I'll be changing the rear bearings hoping that its not a CV. 93k on my car by the way.

It's easy to check the lube in the diff. I would at least take a look.
