Default C5 Torque Converters

I'm having a hard time finding out what size converter fits a C5 corvette.

The Spline and the diameter I guess are the only things that matter.

From what I can gather it is a 30 spline? I have no idea what the max diameter is though.

The factory converter is 13 inches in diameter. A lot of the after market converters are 9.5 inches. Give Yank or Circle D converters a call. They can answer all of your questions as to what stall might be best for your application.

The factory converter is actually a 12". The C5s use an early 4L60E style converter, also used behind LT1s. Yes, they are a 30 spline. I kinda know this because I have a C5 and I own a transmission shop...LOL. You can go up to around 2500 actual stall with a XX 12" converter (behind a small block). Anything more than that, you will need a 9.5".
