harmonic balancer worn ?
just removed the balancer for a new seal replacement, and i see this, it looks like it was machined down,.. see the pics...
in the middle its kinda worn down, the shiny line,.. when i opened the timing cover there was no visual damage.. i did have a new replacement oem balancer..
was there any known issues that worn balancer like this?

Oil seal did that. There was a different thread stating this happens with a certain seal from the factory. Best to replace the balancer as you were probably already doing.
