Default Mill Yellow owners....

Do any of you have rocker panels that are a different shade of yellow than the rest of the car? Both of mine are a lighter shade of yellow and i'm wondering if this is where a previous owner painted them and didnt match color well or maybe they are just bad to fade?

Default faded rocker panels

My guess is they were repainted and color not matched well. M.Y. not the easiest color to match. Mine match rest of car but have never been repainted.

I would guess that they have been repainted. Mine are the same color as the rest of the car.

My rocker panels match the rest of the car, but the front and rear bumper fascias are a noticeably darker shade of yellow than the rest of the car. I've been told this is normal, but I'm not sure that it is.

So are mine. I dont believe they have been painted though. I'm almost certain my rocker panels have, they are just way too different.

my entire car matches really well never noticed lighter or darker panels, I would suspect they've been repainted.

not to thread steal but on the same note does anyone know a certain shade or paint name that matches our cars closely? I want to paint my calipers yellow but not sure which yellow would look the closest.

yellow car, black ZR1s, yellow calipers...

Mine match well. Yours must have been repainted, or perhaps the paint was damaged using to much compounding or cleaning fluids?

Default Calipers

I would recommend having your calipers Powder Coated by Mike the Powdercoater. He did mine M.Y. and matches car perfect.

Yeah apparently they have been painted.. I may have them repainted because the passenger side below the brake vent has a terrible scuff mark where a previous owner has apparently made a turn too sharp and ran it up on a curb or something.. Hopefully I wont have to get a whole new panel. The scuff is more underneath the bottom part but it still bothers the crap out of me...so does the paint not matching.

The hood, front fenders, and top were repainted on mine. A shade darker than the doors and back. It's a 2 tone car.
Sad thing is, I like the repaint shade better. And it is a nice job!
No evidence the car was ever wrecked either....but who knows.

I can't see the mismatch from the drivers seat.
