Default My SLP setup Update

Hello all,

Just an FYI update. Refresher on what I have is the Loud Mouth Exhaust and Blackwing air intake on a 98 coupe A4

I was able to adjust my exhaust so under torque it doesn't touch any part of my undercarriage and my resonance is practically gone. I have some at 1000-1500 RPM's under very slow acceleration (city driving).

UPDATE ON NEW PRODUCTS:
SLP will be selling a new H-pipe kit. One with a resonator that totally eliminates the problems people have discussed with the loud mouth (I am DEFINITELY GETTING THIS!!). This will retail for 369.95 and will be on sale in August 2002.

SLP is also selling new LT Headers in August 2002 for retail of 1,059.95.

Just thought people would like an update. I am now totally happy with my exhaust setup and the entire setup will only improve over time!

Default Re: My SLP setup Update (gmf)

I looked at the SLP longtubes before i bought the FLPs. The slps looked cool but you got to weld em and move the cats back so the car isnt street legal. The FLPs are nice cause you can clamp in high flow cats or off road pipes at anytime plus no welding. Cartek also told me they had some problems with the SLPs on F-bodies(knock retard, hang too low and might get hit) I wouldnt jump on em until they have some tested proven results from the forum members.

As for the resonance...I like it...loud is good :D
