I need ANOTHER trans. AGAIN! (Need # for FLP trans)
So my cars trans is slipping and I went to Auto-Rite in Conago Park, Calif and had a stage IV trans built. A month later I get the car back with a damaged front bumper AND was told I had to have the car towed out of their shop as the trans cooler was pluged and I couldn't drive the car. I had it towed to a local shop here in town and they replaced the radiator with a factory new one, drove the car several miles and the trans died! Several unreturned calls later about the front end damage and the phone number is disconnected. They have moved to Texas and have no forwarding number. Does anybody out there know where they went? I have diputed my Visa but I want them to pay for the front end damage. Also who has the phone # so I can order an FLP trans and be done with it.

Thanx for the #. Just talked to Chuck at FLP but now there is a core issue. He doesn't have one to build me. I can't send him mine as I feel this is going to end up in court. So .......... I guess it's off to the For Sale section.

Your worries may be over Jeff. I am shipping my C5 core at the end of this week. Who knows, it might wind up being yours! My FLP Level IV and PI converter will be arriving soon :cool: . I have no doubt in my mind that this is the best trans you can get for your Vette. Chuck is a super guy and certainly knows his stuff. I'll post new results(dyno and track times) once everything comes together :cheers: .

RunNE1, ship your core today please!!! :lol: Chuck and I were talking about your trans and core the other day, but I think we found another way to go. Chuck is going to disassemble mine and document everything and send me the old parts back. This way if it does come to a court battle I will be better armed with some facts. Suing someone who is no longer in business, or the state is probably going to be impossible. At this point I will lick my wounds and eat the damage to the bumper, $400.00 tow bills, and major rental car expenses (2 months now). If he wants he will come after me for my disputed CreditCard claim and we will go from there. My Trans will go to FLP hopefully today UPS. Thanx all for your support on this one everyone!

Best of luck working things out, I'm impressed with how well you're taking this - I'd be absolutely furious with them destroying your tranny, your radiator, AND your front-end!
