So I've done some preliminary research. My car will intermittently not start (happened 1-3 times) and basically it does the following:
(1) Key will turn, but nothing happens at the starter
(2) All other electrical accessories are working
Then, although I have an LMC5 installed, the dreaded service column lock message came on today. Battery resting voltage is 12.0 Volts, which seems slightly low for a charged battery.
I know these cars have solenoid issues, but the low voltage is also a concern. is it possible that a new battery could be the source of both problems?
